I have never had to pay any customs charges on small deliveries from China that are sent through the normal post, and I receive about two of them every month.
Larger items sent through EMS are another matter, Parcel Farce charge a premium handling fee because it is 'express; and then send you the demand for payment by second class post that has to be paid before they will even move the parcel to your local depot.
I totally forgot it was coming from china and not america. I was expecting a nice tax fee. But I have a lot of stuff from china through ebay

@Manish If your order email said it would be shipping in November (not January), then you should be earmarked for the first set of shipments, and it should have already been sent out or it should be going out in the next couple of days. However, @steph would have to confirm.

It seems the EC Firstclass parcel tracking page is not getting many (any?) updates at the moment.
I received my tracking number three days ago but the page still shows my parcel as āProcessedā, not āIn Transitā, with the last event timestamped three days ago as āProcessed in BFE warehouseā.
Is this what other people experienced or are experiencing? Fingers crossed its just a glitch in their event feed and the parcel turns up soonā¦ :-).
@Chuckles - the EC page is slow to update. Mine said āprocessedā for around 2 days and it was already shipped and passed through customs. Iād give it a few days before worrying.
@Steph Dit you already start shipping pre-orders too? Mine was placed on 23 sept. and shipping was charged on 8 dec. But didnāt receive an update since then.
@Joris we have stated shipping pre-orders (began on Saturday). Another case of not getting tracking numbers right away 
Hundreds have gone out by now, as soon as we get the tracking #s weāll send those out!

@Chuckles - Iāll echo what andrew said. Mine said it was in the āprocessingā stage when I first got my tracking number, and said the same thing for 8 or 9 days, but then once it updated, it turns out that it had been shipped towards the beginning of that period and was already en route. So I think yours should hopefully be on its way too (though I know how hard it is to not refresh the status many many times per day waiting for a shiny new toy).

My tracking had daily updates from the 19th through the 25th (China time). Once it got through customs, there were no more updates and what appeared to be the USPS tracking number did no good. They just arrived today.
