Is the 3.3v output of a Photon sufficient drive 7400 series logic chips?

@jbstcyr, there are various versions of the 7400 chips - 74LS, 74HC, etc, each with different logic thresholds. What exactly are you planning to use a 7400 series for?

Here is a good overview of thresholds from Wikipedia. As you can see, the 74HCT and 74ACT are the best candidates for use with 3.3v logic.
