Does the Photon supports 5Ghz? I’d really prefer to use that instead of 2.4, which is so busy. If it doesn’t is there perhaps a way to get it there via a hardware change?

I think that’s a hardware limitation that cannot be easily changed unless you use another chipset
The photon/P0/P1 by way of the BCM43362A2 supports 2.4GHz only.
