My particle app says "unknown" though it can see the device is online. The tinker tab shows a device outline but nothing more.
Does the app need an update? Will it get one?
The Particle app is not recommended for setting up new devices. Instead please try setup.particle.io.
Thanks, yes I did set up wit setup.particle.io; but it would still be good to see the device represented in the IoS app properly.
I have to agree with @patmolloy.
I wanted to use tinker as well to just do a quick test and only a gray box was displayed
Is the Photon 2 going to be supported on the app (Using IOS)?
The iPhone Particle app still reads “Unknown” for the Photon 2. Are there any plans on updating the iOS app?
Would be nice if the web based set up did not force update the base OS and wifi every time it was plugged in.
Wish there was a way, like the app did before, to change the wifi without taking 5+ minutes waiting for the OS to be reinstalled.
