New Borons will not connect

I have six, new boron 404X devices that will not connect.

As instruction required, I connected an antenna and a usb cable to the device. The device powers up, but only eternally blinks green, never blue. All six devices act the same.

Monitoring the usb serial port with Tera Term, I never see any traffic after reset.

Within a few feet of where I tried to connect the new units, I have seven older 404Xs that connect within a few minutes.

I tried updating the OS using the cli and the software updated as expected. The results were the same, no connection(blinking blue)??!!

What am I missing?

Hey @bdrew7 could you try a different USB cable or port? Are you using a USB hub? From the docs it seems like green blinking might indicate a power issue. The cell modems can be power hungry.

I tried a different, new usb cable connect to a high current charger box with usb connectors. The older devices work with this setup.

I understand blinking green is attempting to connect to the cloud.

Wait - blinking blue? Do you mean blinking dark blue (listening mode) or blinking light blue (blinking cyan, not to be confused with blinking green).

Just to be sure: Did you set them up at setup.particle.io or add the Device IDs to an existing product? From the factory the SIM card will not be activated and will stay blinking green until activated.

If you've set them up, a log from web device doctor would be helpful.

thanks. I went through manual setup in the DOCs and got one working.Will try to bring up the others.

I found it is best to not rely on memory of earlier setup.
