[Issue] particle app push unavailable

Hi, I’ve installed CLI but have been unable to use the particle app command. I receive the following error: We're performing maintenance on this command. It will be available again shortly. I’ve received the same error for over a week. I’m using the standard terminal app on an Apple M1 Pro chip. Particle version is 3.40.1. I’ve tried following the CLI troubleshooting steps and also have tried installing within parallels desktop but received the same error.

The error is correct. This feature is on hold for the moment.

A future CLI update will restore the functionality.

Hey rgr

Thanks for your note - and I really appreciate the curiosity in exploring the system. This one’s on us, and my apologies. We found a security gap with the existing application infrastructure and I asked the team to pull the feature suddenly so we could fix it.

This is a new feature, so we’re bound to hit some bumps as we go. In hindsight, I should have documented the pause right away - I thought we’d have a fix out quickly. We’re already in sync internally on re-enabling this as soon as we can and will meet tomorrow to iron it out.

I’ll loop back on this thread once the command is turned back on. Thanks again for checking it out, and sorry for the hiccup.

Thanks

Nick.

thanks so much for the reply! Is there currently a method to push an app to the cloud and Tachyon? The two methods I found documented were CLI or workbench (which appears to use CLI), but also does not seem to be updated for Tachyon support

Hi @mrlambchop, checking to see if there are any updates? If no, is there an alternative way to use the particle platform to send apps to a tachyon device that i’m missing?
