I’m able to detect my Argon on either of my windows 11 pc and laptop. I am using the official particle usb cable from the particle kits plugged directly into the computer and get nothing in device manager, when I put the argon on DFU mode I get a Argon DFU device in other devices, which tells me the USB cable is good. the CLI doesn’t detect it in usb or dfu mode. USB devices are enabled in chrome.
Particle CLI is installed. Nothing unusual on this computer, can you direct me to the drivers for the DFU mode? And the driver for the Argon in regular usb mode.
That sounds like a device driver issue. This page has instructions for how to fix it. The page says Windows 10, but it also applies to Windows 11.
okay, it’s connecting, but now I can’t attach to wifi, tried my network and my phone’s hot spot. the phone says the device is connected, but I still get the below error. I know wifi works because I can get the list of network devices, even see my neighbor’s so the antenna is working. I’ve reflashed the device, inclding the network co-proccessor and the device is running tinker.
C:\Users\Jeremy>particle wifi join --ssid TitanCell
Unable to join a known Wi-Fi network 'TitanCell': Invalid state
- Please check the network credentials.
- Please verify that the Access Point is in range.
- If you are using a hidden network, please add the hidden network credentials first using 'particle wifi add'.
This is likely not a local wifi issue, as I broke out a brand new photon, ran particle update, and particle serial wifi and it hooked right up to wifi and I can see it in the pannel. Is it possible some time of key or cert on the argons are out of date and need updating?
Downgraded to 5.0, won’t connect: Unable to add Wi-Fi network 'ImpossibleGirl': Not supported
This feature is likely not supported on this firmware version.
Update to device-os 6.2.0 or use 'particle wifi join --help' to join a network.
Alternatively, check 'particle serial wifi'.
6.2.0 still won’t connect same issue as above. Any possible issues with SSID length maybe?
Try clearing the credentials. Hold down the MODE button until the status LED blinks dark blue, then continue to hold it down until is blinks rapidly, then release. Then try particle serial wifi again.
Running the Doctor multiple times online fixed it.
Something is definately not working well with the doctor if I have to run it that many times.
