Use Particle Debugger to get a serial console?

From the documentation, I suspect the answer is no, but can the Particle Debugger be used to get a serial console onto a gen3 device?

I wanted to use serial to calibrate some sensors but I’ve not left enough space in the enclosure to get a serial cable in. The JTAG connector is nicely placed on the top. Any way I can make use of that?

An alternative thought is that the calibration writes variables to the EEPROM, could I write these direct via the debugger?
