Total Frustration - Installing Particle CLI on Win 10
Been trying to install for about 2weeks!
It has Grok 4 stumped too
We go in circles
How are you trying to install the CLI?
The recommended method is to use the Windows installer for Windows.
If you are trying to install it directly using npm install you will likely run into difficulties because there are dependencies outside the package and it also requires node v16.
Just simply FOLLOWING the instructions: Install and Setup | Particle Developer
And I don’t see anything in the instructions that say use “Windows Installer”
rather is states to download Particle CLI, and use the PowerShell in ADMIN to do the install
The problem it seems is that AFTER Running “npm install -g particle-cli@3.36.0”
is that the installer seems to be pointing to the incorrect path for the exe file
Like Grok states… “Installer is corrupted”
So I tried your suggestion (looks like I already did that too)…
Even that installer had an ERROR!
