Red LED blinks three times when trying to connect to the wifi network

Yes, I replaced the CORE_ID with actual core id. Still the same result. It comes up to this point when trying to configure through spark-cli if it helps.

Serial said: Awesome. Now we'll connect!

If you see a pulsing cyan light, your Spark Core
has connected to the Cloud and is ready to go!

If your LED flashes red or you encounter any other problems,
visit https://www.spark.io/support to debug.

    Spark <3 you!

Done! Your core should now restart.

Please wait until your core is breathing cyan and then press ENTER

Can you shoot a quick email to hello@spark.io with your CORE ID and referencing this post so we can look into what’s going on on our end?

Thanks!

hey, i have the same problem.
I work on this problem for 2 days now.

Could you take a video of your Photon so we can see the sequence?

Have you tried clearing wifi credentials? Start the device and then press Setup, hold for 3 seconds until it blinks blue. Then hold Setup for 10 seconds until the LED flashes blue fast.

Hi Mando,

In my case it was a problem with the certificates. Check if you can get it to work doing the following steps.

  1. Download the cloud_public.der file and place it somewhere easily accessible (https://s3.amazonaws.com/spark-website/cloud_public.der)
  2. Open a command prompt and navigate to the folder which contains the server.der file
  3. Make sure your core is connected and in dfu mode.
  4. Issue the following command particle keys server cloud_public.der
(If not already) place you core into DFU mode
  5. Issue the following command particle keys doctor <device_id>
  6. If it stays in DFU mode (flashing yellow) issue the following command particle flash --usb tinker
