The two temp sensors in the Kit are DS18B20 and for those you’ll find a library on http://build.particle.io with some code samples.
And I remember seeing a frizzing wiring scheme somewhere, I’ll try to dig it up

Both (Vpu & Vpp) stand for the 3V3 pin.
