Photon Driver not found

I have windows 7 64 bit, and I can not get the photon USB driver to install. Windows says that it cannot find a driver. I followed the directions to the T from http://docs.particle.io/photon/connect/ . Any suggestions to get the driver found?

Thanks,

Did you install the driver here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/spark-website/Spark.zip

@kennethlimcp, I unzipped the spark folder and tired to update the driver but I get the same response. I unzipped to my desktop which creates a folder called spark. In device manager I select the Photon and updated driver and select the spark folder as the location but it says it can not find it.

Can you look at INSTALLING THE PARTICLE DRIVER at http://docs.particle.io/photon/connect/#connecting-your-device-connect-over-usb

There’s some instructions for issues installing due to unsigned driver but not sure if it’s related to yours. Give it a try?

Those were the instructions i was following for the get go.

Hmm… Just to confirm, are you installing the USB or DFU driver?

not sure, I am downloading what you gave me: https://s3.amazonaws.com/spark-website/Spark.zip

Hmm, may i know what are you trying to do using USB?

@wesner0019 please give these updated instructions a try. Try to follow closely, and let us know where things deviate for you on your particular machine. Installing the USB Driver on Windows & Serial Debugging

Some of the screenshots are Windows 7, some are Windows 8.1 pro. When I installed them, simply browsing and selecting the folder they were in didn’t work… I had to select Let Me Pick, Have Disk, Etc… You’ll see in the link above
