Photon 1 availability tips anyone?

Hello all,

We are trying to gracefully run our EOL fleet at least bit longer than the GSM/3G networks are available for our fleet. Offline does not work with our use case. And Photon 1 is pin compatible replacement for Electron and we have already tested and verified the functionality and have them running on small portion of the fleet.

Does anyone have some tips for sourcing the chips? Or even any excess stock that is no longer needed? We unfortunately had cold feet when the trays were still officially available and are now trying to scrape something together.

Also trades to used but fully functional Electrons (both EU & US models) would be possible.

Have you considered an adaptor board for the feather form factor?
That will allow you to use the Photon 2, which is in-stock, and the option of a future global cellular Feather SKU that's in the pipeline (no timelines just yet)

Hey,

Yes we have considered an adaptor but we are not getting the formula financially viable since this would be only for extending useful life of our EOL fleet for couple of years at this moment.
