Offline network of Argons

Dear friends,

Firstly, thank you for all the help and support in the communities!

I’d like some help with creating an offline network built using Argon boards.

The goal is to have multiple Argon boards located within 20 m. They each have a subset of sensors (water, wind, etc). Data from these sensors is shared to all nodes and actions are completed based on this data.

I recognize this is a very broad request and probably too generalized, but I am also in the beginning stages of my project.

Since the mesh feature has been deprecated you have only two wireless onboard options left:
BLE or WiFi.

With BLE you can have the devices communicate directly with each-other and for WiFi (using UDP or TCPClient/Server) you’d need a common access point for them to dispatch the data between them.

Either way, you should use SYSTEM_MODE(SEMI_AUTOMATIC) and potentially also SYSTEM_THREAD(ENABLED) in order to have your code run without cloud connection.
