I can not get the core to connect with the app, so i tried over usb. Windows (win 7) recognizes the core, but when i try to connect to it over putty, it just makes the error ding and dose nothing. i have tried to factory reset it a few times. im starthing to think im having some hardware issues. anyone have anything i should try before i give up on it?
Have you tried/seen this already? http://docs.spark.io/troubleshooting/
@trix8687, does your core show up as a COM port?
You should be able to see it listed using a Serial terminal program
windows shows it as Spark core with wifi and arduino compatability(COM10), Realterm shows it as 10 = \ USBSER000
i was able to get it to connect with RealTerm. No Idea why it would not connect with PuTTY
I presume that from within putty you changed the connection type from SSH (which is usually the default) to Serial?
You need to do that and then set the COM port (Serial Line).
