iPhone Spark Core app: can't log in / create account (dashes in domain name)

Hi, on pairing “my” second spark core via the iPhone app (iOS 8.0.2) I realized I can not create user accounts that have a dash in their domain name part.

The “create account” or “log in” buttons remain “greyed out” until I remove the dashes from the domain name.

Example: foo@ba-rfoofoo.com

I would be interested to hear if this is a freak fringe case or if I am not alone with this. Can anyone confirm? If so, is the Spark team aware of this?

Hey All,

Oh goofy! Yes, you can’t create an account on the iOS app with a hypen in the domain, but you can with a hyphen in the username. I opened an issue for this here:

In the meantime you should be able to use the build ide (https://www.spark.io/build), or the spark-cli ( https://github.com/spark/spark-cli ) to claim and pair your core, sorry about that! :slight_smile:
