Brand New Tachyon Device Not Responding / Possibly Dead

Hello,

I just received a brand new Particle Tachyon device and followed the official setup instructions, including flashing the OS and configuration. The flashing process completed successfully.

However, after reboot:

  • The device does not appear in the Particle Console.

  • It does not appear in particle list via CLI.

  • Connecting via USB does not work — particle usb list shows No devices found.

  • Holding the BOOT/RESET button for several seconds does not trigger DFU mode.

  • The device does not appear in my Wi-Fi router’s list of connected devices.

I have tried multiple USB cables, ports, and computers, but the device remains completely unresponsive. It seems dead out of the box.

Please advise on replacement or recovery options.

Step 11:

All done! Your Tachyon device is now bootinginto the operating system and will automatically connect to Wi-Fi.

It will also:

  • Activate the built-in 5G modem
  • Connect to the Particle Cloud
  • Run all system services, including battery charging

but still cannot connect via adb and wifi never seen the connected device.

It’s resolved. Started to work after several restarts
