Hello, my Tachyon no longer boots up.
The device setup successfully once before (headless). It used to boot up fine. Now, booting up does not work either, just get the flashing green indefinitely. Thank you for your time. Please advise.
I’ve tried to enter setup mode but that does not work either. I get the flashing yellow but no data is prompted in the PowerShell terminal. This is the end of any promptnig in the terminal:
Now let's get the device info
Before we get started, we need to power on your Tachyon board:
Plug the USB-C cable into your computer and the Tachyon board.
The red light should turn on!
Put the Tachyon device into system update mode:
Hold the button next to the red LED for 3 seconds.
When the light starts flashing yellow, release the button.
Can you clarify which software build you are using? How are you powering the device? Do you have a fully charged battery that came with the Tachyon connected?
Thank you for your reply. I was able to re-setup to the beta version of Ubuntu. It’s downloading OS version 1.1.28 at the moment. Let’s see if it boots up.
The setup was a success. Here is the output,
Step 9:
All done! Your Tachyon device is ready to boot to the desktop and will automatically connect to Wi-Fi.
To continue:
Disconnect the USB-C cable
Connect a USB-C Hub with an HDMI monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
Power off the device by holding the power button for 3 seconds and releasing.
Power on the device by pressing the power button.
When the device boots it will:
Connect to the Particle Cloud.
Run all system services, including the desktop if an HDMI monitor is connected.
But, now the LED is on red, pressing the button once triggers flashing green one time, then back to red. So it is not booting up. How should I troubleshoot?
I was able to log on to Ubuntu 24.04 desktop. The only difference is that I switched for the single battery instead of the 3-parallel. Thank you for your time.
