Forever boots(fast blinking green)

***

trying to get the tachyon to boot... anything.

Tried:

  • ubuntu 20 previous and this week

  • Ubuntu 24 previous and this week

  • Android previous week

had flash issues last week, although i did manage back then to flash a few times. It just never boots. always just flashes green. Can put it into yellow blinking mode and flash.

Firmware data is intact.

Tried flashing via: 4 different devices of which 2 manjaro, 1 debian, 1 windows.
3 different hotspots SSID's.
4 different cables

The flash script tells me that it should reboot, connect to wifi etc... just never goes past blinking green.

Do you have any peripherals plugged in that could cause a boot failure? I've had very good luck with Tachyon flashing and booting with different PCIe, GPIO and USB devices connected.
If you're Tachyon continues to flash green, that means the OS is never getting past the boot-up stage. Do you have the Particle Tachyon debug cable? If so you can view the boot logs live and see where the OS is potentially restarting.

There arent any peripherals plugged in.
Its just the board + cell + power cable.

Even tried a separate 45w/100w power supply to power the board as well as a single cell and triple cell battery setup. I checked the cells with a multi meter and they are good.

I do not own a Particle Tachyon debug cable.

Will a regular uart cable work?

If you haven't already, try booting with your power supply and the battery connected.
