Best Practice for moving from Web IDE to using Github and Workbench

There are tutorials for migration from Web IDE to Workbench that focus on the icons and commands. I am migrating code from Web IDE to use GitHub and Workbench. Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice (best practice even!) on the best way to go about this to avoid any future problems. Thanks

There isn’t a Github guide in the tutorial yet, but that’s a good idea.
