Bad Firmware Push

Today’s deployment resulted in bad firmware being sent to many Cores. We’re actively working on a solution. For now, it’s probably best to unplug a Core that’s stuck in the magenta reset loop. Keep your eye on http://status.spark.io/

This topic is now pinned. It will appear at the top of its category until it is either unpinned by a moderator, or the Clear Pin button is pressed.

Your next magenta auto-update should succeed normally.

Sorry about that folks. Thank you for alerting us to the problem. We’ve updated our deployment checklist to prevent this in the future.

Just wanted to post an addendum here:

If your core updated ‘backwards’ during this issue, and you’re having trouble with it, make sure you let it do another full auto-update when it reconnects. (i.e. it should do the whole flashing magenta / update thing at least one more time before it’ll be back to the current version, now that things are fixed)

Thanks!
