Automated bartender with photon and blynk

Though the video is kinda cool, some explanation of what we’re looking at would be most welcome. It mentioned Amazon Echo, yet I don’t see that. It’s on the Particle forums, yet shows no sign of using any of the technologies made by Particle. Sure, we can assume what’s going on, but it’s be way nicer not to have to guess

U are very right brother lol
So in this case am using micro logic 1100 plc
And am using the particle photon to trigger the input for the plc
I was able to run the small pumps with photon with out plc but I wanted to use plc and photon to make it easy to program .
Am using blynk to control the photon and also am able to use echo to control photon thro ifttt.
It very simple code I’ll post it pretty soon am at work lol.
And also I’ll post the pic of the box I built
I just wanted to have fun with these two devices .

The second photon is for the strip light ws2801

you couldn't control both with a single photon?

Yes am able to do that
And am working on it to put them together in one photon

It would be extra cool if you used lights to highlight the bottle that is being pumped from.

One option would be to put LEDs on the shelf either behind or in front of the bottles and then light them up when the pour comes from that bottle.

If the Photon is running each of the pumps, that would be pretty straightforward to do, either with a different data line per led/bottle, or if you used a continuous strip of LEDs, by lighting up the section of the strip that aligned with each bottle.
