I still have the firmware provided from Tachyon Kickstarter 20.xx!? When I logged into my console.particle.io, it did not offer an update. I noticed that one can drag a firmware to upload. I do not want to jump the gun if I have to do special make files etc. If it is ready for prime-time, how would I accomplish this update?
Have you run into anything that requires a later Ubuntu release? If not, and everything is working as expected, there's no real reason to update at this time.
You can install a specific release using particle tachyon setup --version=<path_to_zip>
I have the “desktop” version. Will that command still work?
You'd use that command from a host computer after putting the Tachyon in programming mode as described by the setup instructions.
