Visual Studio Code - Explorer Tab - Welcome To Particle continually flashing/loading

Hello,

I have been using Visual Studio Code to create an application for a Particle based product. I also use VSC for other projects including a project using the nRF Connect extension. I am not sure what the issue is but if I select the Explorer Tab, VSC seems to just keep showing the splash screen for Particle Workbench. I have tried disabling the Particle Extensions, I have uninstalled the extensions, reinstalled the extensions. I have tried to make sure I have the latest Visual Studio Code. Attached is the version I am running.

I am running Windows 11 Pro.
I took a screen video of what is happening.

If I navigate to the extension tab, the flashing stops and I can use the IDE. If I go back to the explorer tab, it seems to just want to show the Particle Load screen.
Disabling the extensions and going to the Explorer tab, it continues to try to load the Welcome to Particle Workbench screen.

I can still use VS Code but I can't use the explorer functionality which is somewhat a pain.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Does it help if you go into Code - Settings - Settings - Extensions - Particle and check the Don't show the welcome screen at startup checkbox? You might need to quit and restart VSCode to make the screen go away.

That did not seem to work. I have disabled the startup screen but it continues to show up if I try to use the Explorer tab and it will continue to flash.
