Ubuntu 24.04 1.0.172 hard reboots every ~5–10 minutes

Tachyon hard reboots every ~5–10 minutes, often under light desktop or browser use and without any warning. I’ve tried checking if I can find the reason with journalctl but haven’t found anything and I’ve also tried updating it, but hasn’t helped.

Has nyone else experienced the same problem?

Hey @Otso how are you powering the device? We've noticed that it can reset unpredictably when powered by a low quality USB PD supply.

I’ve tried runing it with just the battery, through a Satechi usb-c hub with pd, which I think should be pretty high quality and then through usb-c with no hub while using ssh connection, but everytime it crashes.

What is powering the USB-C hub? A wall outlet or another computer?

Also it’s worth trying with the latest release just to be sure:

Powering it from a wall outlet and I’ve tried different powersources. I also updated to the 1.1.43 but didn’t help. I managed to run Firefox with a video on for over 50 minutes, but once I opened up Thunderbird mail the screen froze, went black a tachyon shut down, like always. So it can run a app for a while, but once I open up another app it shuts down.

I am actually at a point now that as soon as I open up firefox it instantly crashes hard. Weird. But I also haven't flashed the latest yet.
