Sending voice through SparkCore

Hello,

I’d like to use a Spark Core to send voice to a mobile device. I’d like to use a encoder (mp3). Is there anyway I can do this with just Spark Core or I need to use a MP3 codec IC for this?

Any suggestions are welcome.

@Dave Thank you very much. I will look in to using something other than a MP3 coder. Unfortunately the PDF of the second post is not available anymore. It would’ve been very useful.

I’m looking at doing without an encoder but try to have a DAT file.
I need very low quality voice.
