Question about Electron data plan

The electron has a $2.99 / month fee for data. I am assuming this is per-device, but wanted to know what other options there might be for use cases where there may be a “fleet” of electrons that need to be updated and synced all at once.

For example, if you had an organization that needed 500+ devices to be updated periodically, is there a way to have all devices use a common data plan, perhaps pay-per use, as opposed to $2.99 x 500 devices, which would work out to $15k/month, or $180k/year.

Let's try that again, shall we? 3x5=15, 3x50=150, 3x500=1500. 1500!=15000. Likewise, 12x1500=18000, not 180000.
Math difficulties aside, I'm sure there's something that can be arranged if you reach out to particle with your plans for larger scale production.

Wow. Right there you saved me $162000!

You can use a 3rd party plan, if you need 500+ devices you may be able to negotiate a better deal, especially if you dont need global connectivity.
