Problems with my Cores

Hello,

I have 1 Photon (working fine) and several Cores (until recently working fine too) having problems.

I see 2 different/type of problems:

1 Core can’t get into listening mode; only in DFU mode and factory reset can be performed. I already tried a Full Firmware Upgrade http://support.particle.io/hc/en-us/articles/203108844-Perform-a-Full-Firmware-Upgrade?redirected=true but after performing “particle flash --usb cc3000” the Core continues blinking red/blue.

My other cores: I performed a factory reset - got the blinking blue led, entered WiFi credentials (particle setup) but the Cores keep blinking cyan/green.

Leaves me today with 1 working Photon and 3 “broken” Cores.

Anyone can point me into a direction how to “re-activate” my Cores?

Thanks.
Guy

Solved. Problem with AP channel.

Leaves me with the 1 Core continuous breathing white (no listening mode possible).

Just to elaborate here, it sounds like the issue was the Access Point was on an upper channel (above 11), that isn’t supported by the default firmware out of the box on the Core, is that right? Sorry about that!

Thanks!
David

Hi David,

Indeed the first problem/Cores was related to the AP channel.

But I have still a problem with another Core:
Core continuous breathing white (no listening mode possible), …

Thanks.

Hey @gdillen,

So everything is working, except for one core (breathing white continuously)?

Also, for this last Core that is causing issues, what seems to be the main issue besides breathing white (meaning the core was powered on or reset)?

-Does the device show up in your mobile app or via command line particle list command?

Hey Corey,

This Core doesn’t show up in the particle list.
I tried performing a full firmware upgrade:
particle flash --factory tinker
particle flash --usb cc3000 -> Core continuously blinks red/blue after performing this
particle flash --usb tinker

And as I already mentioned can’t get the Core in listening mode either.
Thanks.
