Pin configuration - 3.3* now VBAT

Hi

I have a few pcb boards designed to connect to the 3.3* pin on the core. This obviously does not work on the Photon has this pin is now VBAT. Will it cause any harm to the photon device if I wire the 3V3 pin to the VBAT pins (so 3V3 and VBAT both have power)?

Nope that’s ok. You can do that safely but having a decoupling capacitor for the VBAT pin would be ideal. :smile:

Bridgeing the two - if VBAT is not used as intended - plus decoupling is even considered good practice :+1:
