Particle Dev for Mac won't scroll

Hello,

Particle Dev for the Mac has stopped scrolling (pressing the down arrow key moves the cursor off the screen without moving the text up). I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and the behavior remains the same. What do I need to do to get scrolling working again?

Problems with scrolling on Particle IDE on macOS?

I was having problems with the platform update process in my installed version of Particle IDE, so I downloaded it again. That fixed the problems I was having where Atom was complaining about package versions, but now with the newly downloaded Particle IDE it refuses to scroll the code windows! I’ve gone through a few things and done some internet searches to no success, including changing the settings to “Always show scrollbars” in macOS. (it still doesn’t show any) Fullscreen mode or resizing…

I got it working. I noticed that new tabs could scroll. I closed and opened the old tabs and the too scrolled. Oddly, the not scrolling behavior survived app restarts.

Oh, I have this happen on my Mac sometimes! The trick for me is to turn my magic mouse off and then back on again with the little switch on the bottom of the mouse.

I don't have one of those attached, and plugging/unplugging my USB Microsoft mouse doesn't do it. Such a weirdo problem.
