Particle CLI Installer hangs on Windows 10

Hey there -

I’ve been trying to install the particle CLI on Windows 10 for hours now using the dedicated installer, and nothing seems to be working.

The installer simply hangs at “Downloading and Installing CLI dependencies. This may take several minutes…”

I’ve given this about 60 minutes, forced quit the installer, restarted windows, and tried again, but am getting the same result. Internet connection is known working. Next steps?

firewall?

I know that at work, I can not get any particle stuff to work, I am block by firewall.

No - it’s not that. I’m the owner at the place we work, and I can tell you for sure we wouldn’t be running a firewall like that :).

Have you tried right-clicking the installer and using “run as administrator”?
