Pressing the mode button twice puts the Boron to sleep. I am struggling to find documentation related to this behavior, and I’m also trying to figure out how to disable this behavior (without modifying DeviceOS source, ideally).

It is not possible to disable soft power off. It seems like it would be really useful to be able to, but you definitely cannot.
Is there a way to request this feature be put on the roadmap?
You can mention it in the NPS survey that’s sent to you. If there are enough people who request it it’s easier for us to dedicate the resources.
