How to use Particel debugger to replace nrf52840 dongle bootloader

I am attempting to reprogram a nrf52840 dongle and load a bootloader

Anyone have experience using the particle debugger to load a bootloader to the nrf52840 dongle successfully either using opencd or jlink tools or other

wondering if the particle debugger is similar in function to a Segger Jlink debuger in the basic functions

hope someone has some insights.
