I recently purchased two new Boron 404X units to add to my project. One appears to be working fine (still working on activating SIM) but, the other is not working properly as it is not initializing the NCP Client. I have flashed multiple times with Device Doctor and even performed a USB Device Restore to no avail. This NCP error shows up in the Devie Doctor log. Do I have a defective board? If so, do I contact sales to get a replacement?
With the device doctor firmware flashed, capture the debug log. The best way is using particle serial monitor or another serial terminal program. It could be a hardware issue, but the log will determine that for sure. Include a couple minutes of logs. You can either paste it here or private message it to @support. It appears that I have the TAN015 - SARA-R510 reset procedure issue per my logs. The device is on firmware 6.3.3 now. I have tried 6.2.1 previously. I will attempt to reflash again.
Reflashed 6.3.3 several times and tried device restore. Nothing is correcting the modem ncp issue. Any other processes to try?
