I have supported every Particle kickstarter from the very first one and I was capital "E" excited about this one. A first class chip with GPU/NPU. I'm not sure what happened, but Particle has waited so long to actually support anything of those functions that Qualcomm has just moved on. The chipset uses v68 and Qualcomm has moved on to v73. In fact they don't even publish any models or build chains for v68 at all. I burned through a weeks worth of Claude quota trying to get "anything" running on the GPU/NPU and what it all boiled down to is Qualcomm no longer supports it and Particle can't even move past an Ubuntu version that 2 LTS versions behind. Qualcomms models all support their new v73 which won't work on v68. This entire (really expensive) board is a dead end. Without the GPU/NPU it may as well be a Pi5. Kickstarter and those that use it has turned into a gauge of interest and a pure money grab. It is so obvious from this board that the project has been abandoned. How many comments about getting an update cadence with no follow up 
. Used to love Particle products and bought from Digi. Honestly I can do the same shit with stuff from Seeed and another IoT management plane. Good job ruining what could have been a great product. And f you for taking my money and delivering an ancient operating system and deadend features.
This project has been an insane feat of engineering. I'm sorry to hear you are disappointed and angry, but you didn't back some off-the-shelf x86 mini PC. And Ubuntu 6.8 is not that old, I get it that you're impatiently waiting for the next release, so am I. But please give these guys some room to breathe. The project just needs some time to mature.
On a positive note, I've been able to build some really cool projects using the tachyon, but I'm for sure not expecting raspberry pi level compatibility within the coming year or two. Manage your expectations is all I can say. If you're looking to provide feedback, try to make it constructive and specific so there's something to work with. Negativity like this doesn't help anyone.

Dude, it's crickets in here from Particle/Digi. They haven't even bothered to pop in to say that this project is dead. That's not boding well for this product at all. You're wasting your time. I've wasted tons of time, not paid but my time nontheless trying to get the TPU working for my Frigate project. It's all on Particle. They dropped the ball, probably all the guys that used to respond here took their shares and cashed them in and left. We're on our own here.
I will NEVER buy another Particle/Digi product, ever.
Then why not spend the 5 minutes it takes to put a post in here to set people's minds at ease? Are people just socially inept these days? I guess so. Regardless, it's very poor customer relations.

. They are non existent in this board anyway, except to say " we will bring it to engineering, to we are working on a communication plan". I get it these things are hard. The problem is they are trying to now support hardware that has been mostly abandoned by the manufacturer who has moved on. The kickstarter promised edge AI and the models I can run are basically the same ones that I can run on a $40 dollar AI camera from Seeed and add on a cell board and I'm in for less then a $100. And it's supported. If they truly think they will get the GPU/NPU working under 24.04 will they come out here and say it??? And that "Kickstarter data plan" we supposedly could sign up for. Has anyone found it? Right now I am using it as a deadman switch and break glass if my internet provider goes down. Not a great use of their "flagship" product. Share some of your cool projects that really needed the Tachyon to run? This was supposed to be a powerful AI edge device. Specs are great, software to make it work like that. Non-existent.
Just to say it again as a lot of people on this board have said. If we are way off base, get on this forum and tell us the "blank" what is actually happening.

For now though, engineering is working on a 1.2 with a rebase on the Qualcomm upstream stack with all functions working and that if anyone wants to test, please make a note and we'll send instructions.
Just one note - you mentioned no Kickstarter data plan, but you'll also note no extra charges for any Tachyon data usage. Once we're ready to start implementing billing the details will be shared.

Dude it's like you've never been through an acquisition. Acquisitions are not a fun thing to go through and it wouldn't surprise me if the team are short staffed anyway either due to layoffs or turnover. Devs are probably more concerned with keeping the lights on for their enterprise customers than providing comms to some dude with an iot project. It doesn't surprise me one bit to be honest.
