What "offboard, ultra-low power Nordic MCU" is being used in the Tachyon? Thanks.

@zpm1066, likely an nRF82540 which is also used in 3rd gen devices.

I was expecting the new ultra-low power nRF54L15, successor to the nRF52840. I guess, we'll have to wait for the specs to be released.

You should get that option at checkout, was it not showing up for you?

Hey, either it did not show up or I missed it, since I do not know what to look for.
I've tried modifying my pledge, but I still do not see any buy add-ons button or link.

I didn’t see an option for add-ons when I pledged either.

Add-ons don't show up in Firefox for me. They popped up with Edge, but only after clicking on the pledge button.

It now works for me in FF and Edge.

PS:How do I strike-through text?

Tried in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox and cannot reproduce it. You do need to slightly scroll to see all the add-ons but it shows up as soon as I click the pledge button.

you can add <s> and </s> around the text

Here you go! This was in chrome. Had to scroll so it's two different screenshots, not just one that looks weird.

this is weird, I can see an add-ons chip but cannot click it:

I tried Chrome, Safari and Edge on Mac.
Also tried Chrome on Android.

Oh wait! The Android app allows me to add add-ons when I manage the pledge.

Hi!

I’ve just backed my tachyon on kickstart! Congratulations for you products.
I have some questions:

  • What are you planning to be the Linux drive? Any emmc? Ssd? Or SD card? I am tired of getting corrupted cards in my rpis…
  • About the ether-sim can I just use my regular e-sim card or it must be you(particle team) to “prepare” de environment for a certain card to be accepted?
  • Is the tachyon able to use the regular plans like other particle devices? Like the free account with 100k data limit and 100 devices?
  • How do you plan to implement the 2gb for the 7€? Can I just enable and disable it when I need? I didn’t find many information about that…

It looks like you have to click on the green "Pledge $161" amount to view and then select the add-ons.
