So I purchased one of these on Ebay for $35.
It works fine with the Spark Core.

I figured it would be useful to extend the range of my Wi-Fi network.

Also, if I want to give someone a spark core + sensors for a couple of weeks and not de-register the core.
I can give them this and they can just plug it into their router or browse to the 505’s website and add their own WiFi network to it.

Another neat feature is it can power your Spark Core directly.

Also you can install OpenWRT on it.
