Core not glowing

I connected the core and did smart config. Then I wrote a simple program and flashed it. During the flashing process, the core suddenly stopped - all lights were gone.

Did I burn it?

Guess not! Can you try performing a factory reset? Hold down both buttons, release only the RST and wait till the core blinking white rapidly.

It should enter Listening mode (blinking blue) after that.
