Can't enter Safe Mode on Photon

I can’t enter the safe mode on Photon. I do the steps mentioned in the documentation, but I go directly to the DFU mode. I flashed a program with the line SEMI_AUTOMATIC, and I want to go back and reconnect the Photon to the cloud.

You could always use CLI in DFU Mode

particle flash --usb tinker

will bring you back to the factory default application.
And while you’re at it try this too

particle update

If you’re in DFU mode, you’re too far already. Try releasing the setup button as soon as you see any light coming of. DFU mode should only be entered after three seconds.
