Can you use the Tachyon Audio Adapter with Ubuntu 24.04?

Hi everyone,

Thank you for any support you can offer.

I’m trying to use the internal mic and headphone playback port on the audio adapter, but have had no luck and have been unable to find a solution in the posts on the Particle Community and online. It was working with Ubuntu 20.04 Headless via tinycap, tinymix, and tinyplay, but it is not working with Ubuntu 24.04 Desktop. When I check Sound in Settings, the output device is set to “Dummy Output”. I’ve tried several things, but nothing seems to work.

Ubuntu version 24.04 Desktop, Tachyon 1.1.43.

Does this version only support Bluetooth audio output?

It currently supports Bluetooth audio and USB-C audio. The team is working on bringing support to the audio adapter and DisplayPort/HDMI audio. Please stay tuned and thank you for your patience.
