Atom - Firmware detection problem

When I try to compile my code with the Atom IDE everything works fine until I select the Electron.

I get the message...

This project is only compatible with Particle system firmware v0.5.3 or later. You will need to update the system firmware running on your Electron before you can flash this project to your device.

I selected an Electron with firmware 0.6.2 as target

@mutex, what system firmware is installed your Electron?

I updated the Electron to the latest firmware with "particle update" (electron led was flashing)

I use Fedora and maybe my error is comming from the fact as I'm unable to get the firmware version with particle identify

[root@linux /]# particle serial list
Found 1 device connected via serial:
/dev/ttyACM0 - Electron
[root@linux /]# particle identify

! serial: Serial timed out

I executed the particle identify command inside the command line tool
Did the same with the Atom IDE command line tool.. it works

[fedo@linux electron_FastLED2]$ particle identify
