Argon setup fails "error: bluetooth appears to be disabled on your phone. please enable bluetooth and try again"

hello

i am trying an argon for the first time. using the particle app on my iphone i do “+” and select “argon/boron/xenon”, i scan the datamatrix on the argon which is flashing blue, select “antenna attached” but immediate after i get “error: bluetooth appears to be disabled on your phone. please enable bluetooth and try again”

bluetooth is enabled on my phone. i do not see the argon under ios’ “bluetooth”

any one any idea what is wrong?

tried again on a different phone and an ipad. ipad did work. i never used the ipad for particle app before (on the phones i use it with p1 and photon a lot). no idea but it is configured now!
