What does the MODE button do?

The MODE button changes the mode that the Spark Core is in, natch.

There are four basic actions tht you can take with the MODE button:

  • To enter bootloader mode: Hold MODE button for 3 seconds during power-up or reset
  • To enable factory reset: Hold MODE button for 10 seconds during power-up or reset
  • To enter Smart Config mode: Hold MODE button for 3 seconds
  • To clear Smart Config memory: Hold MODE button for 10 seconds

Thank you @zach. The mode button “combos” were most useful when dealing with my core. Just when all the lights went off, and I thought mine was broken, it came alive! Thanks for the great reliable product!
