Using both 3G and Bluetooth on electron

Hello folks,
I need both 3G and bluetooth communication. I currently have the electron and the redBear duo. Is there a better way to get bluetooth communication with the electron or I have to use the redBear ?

There are plenty of BT/BLE only boards that you can hook up to the Electron via UART

I’ve used the Adafruit Bluefruit LE boards with both the Photon and Electron. Both the SPI and serial versions work with the library here, and the document has links to the various boards as well:
