Tracker One: can we connect it to a vehicle electrical system?

Hey,
Can a Tracker One be powered from the “12v” battery of a vehicle via the power pin on the M8 connector or this is NOT recommended because of the spikes/transients when starting the vehicle?

Vehicle power is fully allowed on the Tracker One.

Powering by the M8 is only rated up to 30VDC, but that’s because of the connector. The power supply inside the Tracker One is rated for 90VDC continuous, and can handle vehicle surge voltages without difficulty.
