To use latest firmware, do I need to have the full toolchain on my local machine

I apologize if this is obvious but I have run into problems with the RAM issue that has been mentioned elsewhere and I am trying to figure out if I download the latest version of the firmware (that has apparently reduced RAM requirements) from GitHub onto my local machine, can I use the CLI to do a cloud compile that utilizes the downloaded (and latest) firmware as opposed to whatever firmware is currently residing in the cloud?

@slzatz, you need the full toolchain and the latest master repo since the Spark CLI uses the IDE server for compiling.

Thanks for the (instant) reply. I’ll see if I can get the toolchain working.
