The new B524 keeps loosing celluar connection

Just got the brand new B524 with EtherSim.

But the excitement and joy vanished quickly… The device had a very hard time connecting for the first time. And once connected, it keeps losing connection, and flashing green, connecting again, only to disconnect a minute later. And this is the pattern.

It keeps switching between LTE and 3G. The signal is ok… I have Borons 3G, which works all the time on the same location.

Anyone experiencing the same thing? I upgraded the firmware to the new 3.0.0, but no improvements.

I’m running:
SYSTEM_MODE(SEMI_AUTOMATIC);
SYSTEM_THREAD(ENABLED)

Help very much appreciated.

/Thomas

Can you tell us where you are located and maybe which network(s) the device is trying to connect to?

Yes… I’m located in Denmark. And it’s connecting to the same Network as the Boron 3G. It’s Telenor’s net, and it’s constantly switching between 3g and LTE.

Regards, Thomas

hey tknuts,

did you solve this issue? I am experiencing the same issue to the day, with several borons I have on the field. any advise will be very appreciated!

thanks,

Hi

Particle deployed a fix over the net which updated the device and I habe not experienced any issues since. I’m now going with the B524 going forward, they work extremely well.
