Since last week, I’m seeing a weird issue with Tachyon (Ubuntu 20.04) repeatedly alternating between online (cyan) and offline (green) states. I haven’t seen this behaviour before at all. Up until a week ago, the cellular connection was rock solid and LED indiction was correct with ‘breathing cyan’.
I’m able to SSH via WiFi. However, Particle Console reports that the cellular connection drops repeatedly after a few seconds. I’m not able to open a shell session from within the Console.
RILD service is fine.
systemctl status particle-tachyon-rild
RILD service is running fine.
systemctl restart particle-tachyon-rild
RILD restart works fine.
Modem state is Connected.
$ particle-tachyon-ril-ctl state
Connected
Power cycle of the modem worked fine. Ran the following in a SSH session window and observed state changes.
particle-tachyon-ril-ctl disconnect
particle-tachyon-ril-ctl power off
particle-tachyon-ril-ctl power on
particle-tachyon-ril-ctl connect
$ particle-tachyon-ril-ctl state --follow
Listening for State changes...
State: Disconnecting
State: Registered
State: Disabling
State: Disabled
State: Enabling
State: Enabled
State: Registered
State: Connecting
State: Connected
However, the Tachyon LED alternates between Cyan and Green every few seconds. I’m not able to open a terminal session via the Particle Console.
The modem seems to be detected and working:

Interestingly, both ‘vitals’ and ‘gnss’ commands seem to be fine as well.

I’m able to connect to the Tachyon remotely via Tor. So, the cellular connection is working. I suspect that the Particle Console is reflecting the repeated cyan/green LED states and indicating cellular connection/disconnection.
I’d appreciate if someone from Dev can look at the Console & LED issues. I’ll be glad to assist with any additional troubleshooting.
