Title says it all. I have a Boron but waiting for delivery of an external SIM. I would like to send data to the Particle cloud in the meantime.
Has anyone successfully managed to connect to the internet over USB using the host PC as a gateway?

Nope, that’s not possible.
The Particle device OS has a lot of stuff directly tied to the onboard radio, redirecting that to USB is not an option.
If your use-case allows using an Argon or the Boron in an EtherWing would be a better option.
