Just thought I’d share this official video of the Roest Sample Roaster and this review showing the setup based on the P1 modules from Particle on a custom PCB. Everything in this machine is controlled by the P1 chip. The project was started in 2017 and now has a nice production volume. The firm now has 16 employees and I’m still consulting for them. The market for Sample Roasters is quite niche, but the world market is huge and more than willing to pay the price of the machine (appoximately $5500) since it is so accurate compared to the alternatives. A lab-version of the machine is also used in food production labs around the world for other things than coffee, where precision is key.
